Getting down the basics.
Everything within the past two weeks has been a case of getting just the basics down and that's it.
What's in the basics? Simple movements with an attack system that I am going to improve as I work through the project. As for getting down the simple mechanics off the game I decided to take a different route to how I normally create the projects. This is just by getting through the more complex mechanics first and then just polishing up with the more simple mechanics to try and stop myself from rushing at the end of the deadline when I cant get a mechanic working. The mechanics I have gotten done using this method is the spawn area with the campfire healing system and have made a simple UI menu for the ruin. The ruin is where you can upgrade your player stats.
As of this second week I have started on creating a base player sprite that will be seen somewhere in an image.
Alongside this I have also setup a GitHub to hold some the different game versions and to allow me to work seamlessly between college and home (and I cant lose the files or forget something again).
